Non-estrogen Option for Menopause - WebMD, 5/23/08 -
"a non-estrogen drug called Ophena significantly
improves symptoms of vaginal dryness and painful intercourse in
postmenopausal women, raising hopes of an alterative to estrogen replacement
therapy ... Ophena is a type of drug called a selective estrogen receptor
modulator (SERM)" - The article makes it sound like it's on the
market so I was wondering why I never heard of it. I Googled it and
found the company site
and it's not on the market. It's in a phase III pivotal study.
